Three awards for international, liberal exchange
The Claus Roxin Awards honour individuals who have demonstrated a long-term commitment to free academic exchange and to the fundamental values of modern societies—liberalism, the rule of law, and democracy. The awards are presented every two years.
Award Rules
Principles of the award ceremony

The award recipient/winner is a distinguished professor, scholar, and influential figure who, over an extended period, has rendered outstanding service to international, higher-education-specific exchange as well as to the promotion of liberal academic discourse—who is committed in the long term to promoting international academic exchange between China, Germany, Europe, and other countries in the natural sciences, the humanities, and the social sciences.

The award recipient/winner should support the universal values of modern societies: liberalism, the rule of law, and democracy.

The award recipient/winner should uphold the principles and reputation of the Claus Roxin Award.

The Academic Commission of the Claus Roxin Academic Research Center and all previous award recipients may nominate candidates in accordance with the principles of fairness and transparency.

The award ceremony takes place every two years.

There is no limit to the number of award recipients/winners.

The candidate must receive the unanimous approval of all members of this international academic commission in order to be selected as an award recipient.
Offices will be established in Göttingen, Munich, Shanghai, and Beijing. Upon the recommendation of the international academic commission, all award recipients will receive a fine certificate and a pen with a personal engraving.
